Let's Talk Skin Care | Toners | Presley Charlotte

Hello everyone, it has been a very long time that I have written up a blog post, or done a video! Since it is obvious that I am not very good at editing a beauty tutorial and better at a talk through! So here is a talk through about toners and how to use and why you used them!

Toners are one of the skin care products that are so important to a skin care regiment but are so underestimated! Toners look like water and some think they are more of a gimmick and marketing tool, but in actuality they are an essential part of the regiment that will increase the benefits of the serums, moisturizers and masks!

Our skin is a natural pH of 4.5-5.5, meaning it is techinally acidic. This is a way of self protection because bacteria cannot grow on an acidic surface, but once you cleanse your skin it quickly turns alkaline. Some products are designed specifically to not alter the pH, those products will be labeled "acid balanced" instead of "pH balanced". If you cannot find acid balanced products, then please use pH balanced to ensure the skin is not stripped completely.

Next, after you cleanse you should always use a toner. Toners are designed to bring your skin back to its favorable pH quickly to inhibit bacteria growth and optimal absorption of any skin care products applied next!

When I do a skin consultation I always ask these questions:

-What do you cleanse with

-Do you use a Toner

- Do you remove your makeup/wash the pollution off your face before bed.

Often the last one is the culprit of unfavorable skin conditions, however you would be surprised at how adding the simple step of a toner will enhance your skin's condition!

Hope this was helpful, to see other videos go ahead and check out my Youtube channel and comment below or on any of my social media pages on what kind of skin care questions you'd like answered, as well as share the love: Subscribe if you're not already, thumbs up and pass this post or video along to a friend you think might like to learn a bit about skin care :).
